MJS Literary Festival

Tuesday 30th June

We are especially excited to welcome famous children’s author Guy Bass, creator of the hugely popular Stitch Head stories STiTCH HEAD | guy-bass. Guy Bass will open the festival on Tuesday 30th June and lead exciting class workshops with our pupils. To celebrate his visit, Tuesday will also be a fun “Stitch Head Dress-Up Day” and children and staff are invited to come dressed in spooky, funny or creative Stitch Head-inspired costumes!

Wednesday 1st July

Parents and carers will be warmly invited into school to take part in special poetry-writing workshops with their children. This will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy reading and writing together.

Thursday 2nd July

The festival will end on Thursday 2nd July with a joyful Closing Ceremony that you are all invited to featuring celebrations of reading, prizes, performances and a special visit from poet Adyssa.  There will be a book fair and food trucks in the playground.

If any parents, carers or community members would like to help support the festival in any way, please contact the school office — we would love to hear from you!
